# SIGN-OFF: RJ DTC Admin redesign

## Locked

- **Direction (2026-10-11):** Fine Worsted · Satin Lapel, picked by Frank from the third direction round, with one amendment: Archivo is never set wide (titles, buttons and the menu at normal width). Motion, the quick-edit side sheet, toasts, dropdowns and button focus approved as shown.
- **Component kit (2026-10-11):** the ten component families, desktop and phone, approved by Frank.
- **Pages (2026-10-11):** all 64 surfaces (every admin URL in the brief), desktop and phone, approved by Frank.
- **Kit v3 and the delivery (2026-10-12):** Frank green-lit the kit and asked for the full hand-off ("go all the way to the end"). This is a design-only delivery: the RJ front-end team builds it in `apps/admin` themselves, per the ticket.

## Proven

- Every surface passes the dedicated desktop and phone gate (no width media queries, no overflow at 1440 or 390).
- Colour contrast: body text 15.1:1 and up, quiet text 5.9:1 on white, control edges 3.1:1, every chip text at least 4.5:1 on its soft fill.
- Kit v3 named the remaining literal values with no visual change (pixel-identical before and after).

## Open

- Ten product decisions are listed at the top of `PROPOSALS.md`. They are Frank's to make, and are not built until he answers.

## Rejected directions

- Sharp and dense (never sharp).
- Dark, cyan and futuristic (light canvas only).
- Plum or purple accents.
- Editorial looks with serif titles, warm ivory, gold or brass.
- A strong glow and inner glow on buttons (the sidebar keeps about a third of that light; buttons keep none).
- Archivo set wide.
